We have 2 new famiy members!!!

Hello Everyone :)

Ok, so its been awhile and some folks have actually took the time to email me and kindly request that I take that picture of Grandpa Blocks broken head off the front page of my blog and replace it with something more pleasant so here u go....

These are our new cats. The grey one is Smoke. Smoke is Kates cat that has to stay with us because her step dad doesnt want a cat at his house. Smoke is a very soft and cuddly little boy but like the other males in this house he can clear the room with his FARTS!!! OMGoodness... its awful!! Good thing hes cute!! Chyna (the remaining original cat) wouldnt mind if Smoke fell off the face of the earth because Smoke is ... well lets just say he reminds us of a certain little cat (Chyna) that use to TORMENT Azia (God rest her beautiful sole) when we first brought her home from the shelter. She would attack Azia constantly. Well Smoke is Azias revenge... sorry Chyna.

Now this little sweetheart is Frak. Frak is the cat that Dave picked out for the Olson family. Do you think Frak looks like someone? Maybe he looks a little like AZIA?? He is the sweetest most cuddly cat ever. He doesnt bother Chyna. He is waiting for her to warm up to him. He loves to play and he loves attention and hugs and cuddling. We love him. Hes the best and he doesnt FART!!! Hes very furry, not nearly as furry as Smoke but still very soft and we are very happy to have both of them in our home. They make life fun.

One more thing....

IS IT EVER GONNA STOP FREAKIN SNOWIN THIS YEAR??? I have had enough!! We got another 11 inches today....grrrrrrrrr!!

Have a great day!!

Heres Grandpa Block

Hello All

As you can see, I went to see Grandpa Block yesterday. He was up in a wheelchair when I got there but later decided the excitement of seeing me wasy WAY TO MUCH and he needed a nap.
While he was napping, I snapped a pic of the docs handy work, used to save his life. Gramps is gonna appreciate these pics when hes home and back to his OLD NORMAL self. Well, he actually never was normal or steady on his own 2 feet, so if the docs are waiting for him to gracefully stand up and be steady, they have a long wait!! His family claims he babbles about strange stuff from days gone by, for instance, when I was there he was talking about scanners and graphs and the like (sure sounded like LE Jones babble to me and Becky-and we all know how WELL I did on the LE Jones Machining test--I FAILED!!) Since he felt the urge to inform me about graphs and scanners, I was thinking maybe he isnt completely himself but then he told me I looked like I lost weight and I knew the mans mind is as clear as a bright sunny day. Let him out, hes ok!!! But Becky, Larrys daughter Linda and my son Greg disagreed and Gramps is still in patient at Rennes East. Doesnt he look excited? Atleast I have it on record that I thought
the man was completely with it already. My way of thinking may have been slightly swayed when he told us he was born before his Dad passed away but then I remembered the MAN SAID I LOST WEIGHT and I came back to my senses ... the man is good to go. Look at him in his chair>>>>>

Hes happy to see me. The pics a little blurry but he is clearly ready to break out.

OK, maybe hes not ready to physically come out of there but mentally, the man is all there. So what if he thought a picture of Linda was her daughter Jessica, we all make mistakes!! After all the fella said I LOST WEIGHT!!

OK, so I havent lost weight but I am seriously thinking of trying to loose weight. Maybe he can now read minds and is going to be a world famous phychic. I will keep you posted on that.

Til next time.

Way To Go Gramps!!

Let me just say that Grandpa Block is amazing!! He was in the worse shape ever a week ago and today he was released from the hospital. He has to go to a nursing home (Rennes East) but he's alive and he is trying to communicate. I will get a better update once I get to see him. I havent seen him since he bumped his head. The above photo is of Gramps and Greg in September of 1987. Making Greg about 9 months old. Greg and Kevin are sooooo lucky to have such an awesome person in there lives. I couldnt be happier that he is still here for them to enjoy!!

My Stud Muffin (Dave) turned 47 on Thursday....

Happy Birthday Honey!!!

I got a raise on Tuesday and on Wednesday Lloyd Flanders laid me off. Wasnt that nice? At the rate I was working for the past 2 weeks, I might as well get unemployment. How we can go from 56 hours a week (those checks were awesome and I quickly got use to them) to 32 hours a week....... I dont know..... but I do know it hurt the pocket book!!

Dave and Katie each have picked out new cats at the animal shelter. We have to take Chyna to the vet for a couple shots on Monday and then 2 new cats can come home. I will surely post pics when our 2 new members finally come home!!

Thats enough for now.

And it just gets worse.....

Hello Everyone!! Thanks for checking on us.

2008 is proving to be a challenging year for the Olson/Block household. Yesterday, Friday Feb 1, 2008 Greg and Kevins Grandpa Block fell and hit his head on Main St in front of the Globe. His brain was bleeding and they did surgury in Green Bay and said there was no activity last night after surgury (which isnt good!!). They give him a 10 % chance of surviving and if he survives he will most likely be a vegetable. I just talked to my son Greg, who was at the Hospital with Gramps all night, and he said Gramps is reacting to pinches and the sound of his brother, Georges voice on the phone. This is hopefull but I am reminded of my Aunt Carol who it seemed was responding to voices and touches but in the end it was just a reflex and she passed away. We are keeping Larry in our prayers. Dave and I are both very appreciative of all that Larry has done for Greg and Kevin. He is an awesome Grandpa. He was an awesome Father In Law. I was very lucky to have his support and love when I was married to his son. Gramps proved to be the male role model my sons needed when I was a single Mom and their Dad was MIA. I will keep you all posted on Larrys condition.

Other than that, my wonderful Hubby has a birthday coming up on thursday Feb 7 (he will be 47) and I have absolutely NO IDEA what to get him!!! So if you see Dave on thursday.. wish him a happy birthday or if you feel ambitious, give him a call on his cell and sing to him, he would love that :) If you need his cell number, email me or call the house phone and I will gladly share it with you.

Last weekend my Aunt Lynn brought her grandson, Kaden over to see me. Kaden is Shays baby. Hes a year old and cute as a button. I will post pictures later this weekend. Thank you Aunt Lynn for sharing him with me!!

We had another one of those aweful snow storms this week. Jared had 2 1/2 snow days this week. He got out early on tuesday and didnt go back until Friday and then.....can u beleive... Friday was rewards day for good behaviour and he went bowling and to McDonalds and to the movie theater ....that was his school day... They didnt have school like that when I was in Marinette Middle School!!!

Well enough for now. I will post more later.

Love U All
