My Mom and ALL Her Siblings....

Back Row: Sallie, Jack, Frannie, Junior, Patty

Front Row: Jennie, Lucy, Judy, Arlene (My Mommy :), Nancy and Jean

Is that alot of siblings or what? I cant even freakin imagine being the youngest of all of them and being beat up that much!! I mean I only had Chris and Dickie and I barely survived!!! Poor Aunt Patty... I feel for the girl. Next time I see her... big hugs!! Even bigger than usual!! I may even give Uncle Jack a little extra big hug because hes 2nd youngest. I remember them 2 being teenagers when I was younger and lived in Milwaukee and going to Grandpa and Grandma Miers house for visits and sleepovers. They were pretty cool. They put up with alot from us nieces and nephews.... to be honest... with so many of us.. they all put up with alot. Except Junior.... I have only met him once before in my life. His wife calls him J.R. I thought that was cute :)

Cousin David, Uncle Butch (Dave), Auntie Nancy, and Cousin Debbie
Of all of them I am closest to Aunt Nancy. Shes the only one that lives up in the sticks with us. Shes also married to my Uncle Butch ( Dave) who is also my Daddys brother. Debbie is my closest and dearest cousin. I am only a month older than her. We were together alot growing up. We dont ever see each other anymore but I have many fond memories of out childhood. You see... Debbie (along with their whole family) lived next door to our other grandparents... Grandma and Grandpa Demmith. So when we were at the grandparents house.. we would see Debbie and family too. Anyway.... one memory still haunts me about visiting the farm where Auntie Nancy took up some cowing or farming or whatever you country folk call it....oh boy. I stayed over ONCE and that crazy Aunt of mine came into the bedroom where I swear.. Debbie and I had JUST fallen asleep after giggling and story telling til God knows what time.. we were 13...we had alot to talk about.. anyway.. my crazy Aunt came into the bedroom at like 4 am and announced it was time to milk the cows... Now I am a big city girl (Marinette has a population of atleast 11,000 - thats big right?) I dont live in freakin COLEMAN (whos population is like 100). I didnt know it was big news to announce SHE was going to milk her cows. So in some sweet and innocent tone, I'm sure, I told her to knock herself out...BIG MISTAKE!! Can you all guess where my bumm was 10 minutes after I made that mistake? Yeah... in the barn... looking at cows bumms...lots of them. Like a million, I swear. I only had my one pair of shoes with me and I dont own BARN CLOTHES and she wanted me to go where and do what? This may come as a shock to all of you who remember teenage Cindi but... she didnt get much work out of me but she sure knew I was there.. I complained and whined and tried to explain to her that I didnt sign up for this.. I mean... big city girl..remember? Unlike my own Mom, she wasnt falling for my act and work or not.. I was staying in that barn til I was excused to go START BREAKFAST with Debbie.. Now I had to cook stuff too... That was the last time I slept at Auntie Nancys. I went back to visit but NEVER stayed over night!!
Thats enough for today.. tomorrow.. I will introduce you to another one of my Mommys siblings...who will it be??? HMMMM
Love u all!!

Its Been a While!!

Wow...alot has happened since August!! Within the next couple days I will get you all caught up.

The most important thing, of course, is my Mom had her surgery and is a fighter and a survivor!! It was an awful experience... we almost lost her but shes a tough little lady and an awesome fighter and fought her way back to a newer healthier Mom. The surgery itself went great. Everyone was very pleased with how well she did but then.... things took a turn. She developed pneumonia and subsequently went into Congestive Heart Failure. She was on life support and it was scarey. We were told she was in rough shape and had a 50/50 chance of surviving. I know that sounds like fairly good odds but trust me... when they say that to you about your MOTHER...those odds stink!!!

But thats behind us now and Mom is still here with me... I mean us and thats all that matters now.

I am still laid off...yeppers....3 1/2 months....I havent had this much time off since I was pregnant with Greg and hes gonna be 22 in December. So much has happened.. its kind of a good thing I was off... if you want to know whats been going on.. check back each day.. I will share something new each day...ok...I may skip a day here of there... but with in the next week or 2, I will get you all caught up.

Stay tuned :)

Love
Cindi
